The Judicial branch interprets the law and “safeguards” the Constitution and the laws made by the Legislative branch. This means that if anyone breaks the law made the the Legislature, they would have to go to court (judicial branch). The Judicial branch is made up of the courts in India. The highest court, the Supreme Court is in the country’s capital city, Delhi. After that, High Courts are located in every state’s capital city.
In districts, there are smaller courts called Zila Parishads and in villages there are Courts called Gram Panchayats. Their job is to solve the villagers' disputes.

If someone breaks the law (made by the Legislature and enforced by the Executive) and gets caught, they would be taken to court. If it is something serious like terrorism, they would be taken to the Supreme Court (original jurisdiction). If it is not that serious they would go to smaller courts like Districts Courts. Let's say someone went to a District Court for something they were accused of doing. After a trial, if they loose a case, they could appeal to the High Court. After a trial, if they loose that case, they could appeal to the Supreme Court (appellate jurisdiction).
